therefore not secure. KooteNet cannot guarantee the safety of your
computer’s communication across its wireless network.
- KooteNet assumes no responsibility for the
configurations, security or files on your laptop or wireless device
resulting from connecting to the KooteNet Wireless Network. Information sent
to or from your wireless device can be intercepted by anyone else with a
wireless device and appropriate software, within range of the Libby
Library’s wireless access points.
II.
Wireless Technical Support.
- KooteNet is unable to provide technical assistance to
you regarding wireless access, and there is no guarantee that you will be
able to make a wireless connection. If you need assistance, contact the
manufacturer of your wireless device or software.
- KooteNet is not responsible for any changes you make
to your computer’s settings, and recommends that you copy or make a note of
any settings before you change them.
III.
Using KooteNet’s Wireless Hotspot.
- The KooteNet Wireless Hotspot uses the WiFi standard
(also known as IEEE 802.11G).
- You will need to bring your own wireless device to the
Libby Library, and it will need to have either a built in WiFi network card
or a PCMCIA wireless network card. KooteNet does not have wireless devices
available for public use.
- Most WiFi equipment will be compatible. However,
KooteNet makes no guarantees as to compatibility of your hardware with KooteNet’s Wireless Hotspot.
- Printers are not part of KooteNet’s Wireless Hotspot
wireless accessibility. If you wish to print you will need to save the
material, and print at another time.
IV.
Bandwidth.
- KooteNet does not guarantee any particular throughput.
Given the unlimited number of people who could be networked to the Hotspot
at given time. KooteNet does not guarantee any particular speed.
